Two gentlemen came to my home about a week and a half ago, parts were ordered and delivered. The gentlemen have returned to complete the repairs and on both occasions they were very polite and took the time to explain what needed to be done. My personal opinion, Appliance Service Centers employees are very professional.

Miele

My dishwasher malfunctioned in early February……with the error message “DRAIN.” I called all my regular appliance repair people and non of them worked on Miele products…..although they said Miele was the best you could buy. Finally I took photos of the serial number and called Miele, The rep I talked to said the drain pump was probably OK. Maybe it was a twisted tube, or some kind of obstruction. They suggested ACS for a repair; ACS was not able to come for a week so I called Miele back and asked to buy the drain pump for the unit. My thought was, if ACS needed it we wouldn’t have to wait for it. They agreed….actually said if it wasn’t needed for the repair I could return it for credit. I thought that was amazing!

ACS makes appointments, you verify, but then there’s an early morning text that you need to verify AGAIN before 8AM on the service day, or they will cancel and reschedule. I thought they were “no-shows” but I guess I wasn’t following their rules! Honestly, I’m old, get up late, feed my dogs……miss their deadline…….

Finally service…..Kris….nice guy….admitted he wasn’t familiar with Miele products. The panel was custom. He took it off….did some manipulations, put the panel back on and said to “run it” because it was fine. My next load of dishes was interrupted with the “DRAIN” error message. He didn’t charge me. I expected an invoice, but that was before I realized he hadn’t fixed anything.

So I contacted ACS/ Miele supported service again. Made another appointment…..realized I hadn’t confirmed before 8AM, sent a note and miraculously LisaBeth was at the gate! She said, however, she wasn’t here to do a repair….she was here to collect a $250 debt, I said the unit had not been fixed so she came, collected the $250 and proceeded to look at the machine.

With a computer, diagnostic devices, she tried to connect to the machine. She called Miele, said she needed a “computer system upgrade,” because the device wasn’t working. She determined that the problem was Cascade soap capsules and declared the machine “good to go!” All I needed to do was run “Sani-Wash” a few times to clear out any soap residue. She left and “Sani-Wash” stopped within 15 minutes with the “DRAIN” error message.

Meanwhile, the drain pump….still sealed in the box from Miele was sitting on the counter just above the dishwasher. Neither service person checked the model number of the unit or glanced at the DRAIN pump from Miele.

I’m guessing I started trying to get this dishwasher repaired around the 15th of January. The pump arrived around the 20th…today is February 8th so I’ve been washing dishes by hand for WEEKS!

ACS sent a bunch of texts this morning….they are checking for warranty info (I told them this was a REPAIR…..the source I bought the machine from has closed), I should let them know when the necessary parts have been shipped (photo enclosed of pump), send photos of the serial number and model, stacked washer and dryer sets must be separated before work can be done…I have Speed Queen products (they were never contacted for the washer/dryer), service fees range from $120 to $250 and fees are payable before service (will be applied to the repair), and that the “We appreciate your continued support for local business.”

I hope Lisa Beth made her “Happy Hour.” She left her kneeling pad on my island. Please tell her I will leave it at the gate. As for Miele….I believe this dishwasher is indeed one of the best. I loved the way dishes were cleaned and dried. ACS didn’t take reasonable steps to resolve my problem and being directed to them for service by Miele (and paying $250) for no resolution is not sitting well with me. For sure, I don’t recommend using ACS and, unless Miele steps up to help me resolve this issue I’m done with them too.

I can’t say enough great things about Camden, our appliance tech who came to the rescue for our side-by-side fridge and freezer combo! I had been without a working fridge and freezer for a month! From the moment he arrived, Camden was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He quickly re-diagnosed the issue, explained everything in a way that made sense, and gave us tips to keep the appliance running smoothly. Not to mention he put up with my son’s annoying, gummy bear, dance song that was playing the entire time he was here. lol and he was nothing but patient, trustworthy and made me feel very comfortable.

What really impressed me was his attention to detail and dedication to getting it done right the first time. Camden went above and beyond, ensuring everything was functioning perfectly before he left. The fridge and freezer are now running like new, and I’m beyond grateful. If you’re looking for an honest, skilled, and reliable appliance tech, Camden is your guy! Highly recommend! He also deserves a raise immediately!

I have been trying to get my ice-maker, which is under a 5-year warranty, fixed by ASC for over 4 months. There have been multiple service calls, parts ordered, and technician visits, but the ice-maker is still broken. It's incredibly difficult to contact and schedule with this company.

How this company is still in business I will never know. Our 4-month old GE Cafe wall oven fried itself in the middle of a cleaning cycle. Unit won’t power on, door is locked tight, and the breaker trips. We set up an appointment, received a confirmation email, and then they never showed. We called, they had rescheduled the appointment for a different day without asking about our schedule or even notifying us. So, thanks for the time away from work for nothing. Then they come over two days after the initial appointment and they say we need to get power to the unit. They’ll call us by 4 that day. At 4:40 we call them and our issue is “under review.”

Our builder brought out an electrician who verified the breaker is functioning, there is power, but the unit itself is the issue. A week after the second appointment, we have called them several times (they never once reached out to update us) and we are finally told that they won’t be able to help us without power to the unit. We’ve been working with GE and a second service company. We are now three weeks without an oven and no resolution. The first 12 days of that time were wasted by this company. The only positive is that they have some poor gal who is pretty diligent about answering and returning calls … as long as you are the one who is trying to get ahold of them. Don’t sit around hoping they’ll get back to you otherwise even if they tell you they will.

After 3 weeks of back and forth regarding repairs to my new dryer, Christina (Customer Service Manager) and Ahmed (Technician) were able to resolve the issue in 1 day and my dryer now works perfectly!!! It's amazing to have a customer service agent that cares and works hard to resolve an issue. Likewise, having a skilled technician that can identify the actual problem, locate the part, and install it in the same day is wonderful!! My experience up to this point was far from good, but these 2 went above and beyond to ensure they meet my expectations of having a working dryer!! Thank you Christina and Ahmed!!

My home warranty company assigned my repairs to this company. They texted me instructions but said the appointment made by the warranty company wasn't confirmed and I should send pictures etc via text and that they would let me know when my appointment would be. 30 hrs later, I've heard nothing from them, the original appointment was for tomorrow,so I reached out to see what the situation was. They texted that I'm out of their service area and they've kicked the request back to the warranty company. Bad service - I guess I would've been waiting a long time since they didn't bother to notify me until I reached out. Meanwhile, my stove and dishwasher aren't working. Pretty sure that determination takes 5 min by looking at a map.

I was charged $250 to be able to schedule an appointment. We decided to purchase a new dishwasher instead of repairing it and canceled the service appointment weeks in advance of the scheduled service date. It is almost a month now and I have not been able to get a refund on the amount. I’ve asked for a manager and no one is calling me back. Please report them if you are experiencing the same.
