Scott made it easy to understand the process of how to get the drive there, estimated return on if data was recoverable; explaining they do have a high success rate but made it clear there’s no guarantee to success. Unfortunately my SSD controller failed and they were not able to recover it. He recommended holding on to the drive and waiting for the methodology and technology to evolve further. I very much appreciated his prompt communication, realistic result expectations, and timely processing of all my needs.

Was able to recover data from a hard drive that crashed in 2008! I even had it sent in to a "data recovery" service at the time but they just sent it back to me telling me that there was nothing that they could do. Fortunately I stored the drive in a safe place and when I had a similar problem that Secure Data Recovery was able to help me with in 2022, I sent the 2008 drive off to them (I saved it thinking that maybe the technology might be better at some time in the future).
Well, they were able to get my family photos back! It was like opening a time capsule - seeing photos that I had not seen in a while and photos that I thought I'd never see again!

Scott MacMacken with Secure service was super professional and thorough when I called. I had just had my 5 meg disk that had projects and personnel trips on my disk from 1916 to present. Not sure what happened, I must of been trying save several big Photoshop files at the same time. What ever the computer could not open or allow me to review any of my files.
The phone call from Scott was reassuring and directions on preparing the disk to drop off were very clear and understood. A quick response to my problem was pointed out and I was assured all the data could be recovered.

It is never fun when a hard drive fails but luckily there is hope. I was in complete panic mode when my main working hard drive quit but Scott McMaken and secure data recovery came to the rescue.
