We came here for a money order and the young woman that was working the counter had it ready for us super fast, tucked away in a little envelope. She was patiently helping an older woman pack her box when I came in who was struggling with getting the most bang for her buck out of a prepaid mailer. I think she might have been the only person working, they're probably super understaffed. She was on her stuff and got me in and out of there quick before going back to helping pack the box. It's a really small post office tho so have patience if you roll in there over lunch time or something, if it gets busy they probably don't have a lot of bandwidth.

Probably one of the best on base post offices I’ve been to. Can’t speak on the other workers there but the good looking light skin lady at the front knows her stuff. She is patient with customers and they all seem to like her. The service has been quick and easy my last 3 visits.

I am giving a star for the fact that this post office is conveniently located and easy to find. It also gets a star for not having a long line in the middle of the day. That is where the stars stop though! There was 1 lady working the counter. I was the only customer when I walked in. I stood for a moment at the “stand here” marker on the floor, as she was on the phone when I walked in. After a moment, I realized this was a personal call she was on. She finally “waved” me to the counter. I had to place each of my packages on the scale for her, because she was busy with her phone call (talking about personal relationships). I paid (was never asked how I would like my one package shipped that was not in a priority box). She never wavered from her phone call. Handed me the receipt, and said nothing to me. This was probably the rudest post office employee I have ever encountered. Absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. I expected much better on a military installation.
I am writing this post as I sit in the parking lot of the post office. Since I came out, 4 other cars have pulled in. I hope she was able to put her phone down long enough to help them at least.

Supposed to open at 9. Lights off and door locked still. Random breaks throughout the day slow things down even more.

These folks are always nice. Packages are ready for pickup by 2pm as promised, unless they're delivered later than that.
It's true, they're usually on personal phonecalls. I get it, because it's probably a super monotonous job. It's never stopped them from handling my mail quickly. And it's not like I'm going in there desperate for a stranger to give me smalltalk and undivided attention. I just want my mail, and I get it quickly every time.
I personally avoid going during the lunch hour or right at 4 when everyone is flooding out of their offices, so I can't speak for service during those rushes.

I dont know why I even graced this with 1 star? The store hours say they open at 9am. It's 9:15am and still no one. A man that is waiting with me does daily pick ups here. I asked him if this is normal and he said, "Yeah, sometimes she doesn't open the door until 9:30am." How is this acceptable?

Why is no one ever here? Late lunches, not coming back on time, late opening in the morning. I understand they are understaffed but don’t post hours if you can’t make the times on the door.

There are two issues with this post office.
Every day they are closed for lunch which means there is a line out the door waiting for them to re-open. A large amount of people could fill out flat rate envelopes or labels while waiting but the post office does not have them accessible. Other post offices have small flat rate stands and holders that are accessible even when the post office counter is closed; this location should do the same.
Even on the busiest shopping day of the year, they cannot provide the manpower to stay open all day, which forces them to close from 1:30-2:30pm. They should be able to support busy days with extra manning.
